Our senior team consists of the following:

Martin Chisholm

Martin's career has spanned the length of the supply chain; starting with a supplier to the Petrochem industry, then to a manufacturer of Manual Handling Equipment, followed by a Fast-Moving Consumer Goods supplier, an internet fulfillment centre and finally working out solutions to solve the last 50-metre conundrum for retailers (how to get it from the back door to the sales floor!).

He successfully completed the prestigious Fellowship in Manufacturing Management programme at Cranfield University in 1999 and is now working with a number of Manufacturing Advisory Service providers including North West, Yorkshire & Humber and the North East. He is also a Director and council secretary for the Association of Manufacturing Managers.

Paul Gray

A committed Interim Manager/Consultant with wide experience in senior operational roles. Thrives on manufacturing business turn-round with Engineering qualifications and a Fellowship in Manufacturing Management from Cranfield University.

Innovative and creative, with core skills are in business improvement, Lean Manufacturing, process mapping & process improvement, project management, change management, production management, planning, sales and marketing, component and machinery design and quality management.

Industry experience covers: Plastic Card Manufacture - including printing, software and personalisation: Electronic displays: Plastics manufacturing. Working in many markets from civil engineering and agricultural products to bank cards, mobile telephone SIM cards and display products.

Alan Slater

Alan has spent most of his career in the manufacturing industry. He led production operations for several companies before becoming Group Operations Director for a multinational with responsibility for factories in UK, Europe and USA and 800 staff.

His early leadership experience was in the sporting world, including coaching at Cambridge University. He is an associate lean practitioner with The Manufacturing Institute and MAS, The Manufacturing Advisory Service, and an associate member of The Association for Coaching.

Alan has a PhD in Polymer Science and is also a qualified Corporate and Executive Coach.

Stephen Spooner

Stephen is an ex-board member of British Land and has excellent knowledge of the Property Industry and the built environment. During his time at British Land Stephen provided Asset management during the most rapid period of growth of British Land's business; asset values grew from under £1bn to over £11bn.

We had Direct involvement at all levels in acquisition, funding and managing both the portfolio and the business. Stephen is also Executive Chairman of Pisces, Director at Solaris Development and Managing Consultant at Calvis Limited.

Stuart Mitton

Stuart is an experienced Manufacturing Professional and Kaizen practitioner, with extensive knowledge of the Toyota Production System. An enthusiastic and passionate group leader, who actively assumes a lead role in Change Management scenarios, resulting in the highly successful implementation of Culture Changing Ideas and Systems.

He has experience working with Businesses in UK, Europe and the Americas in a wide range of businesses from Automotive, Aerospace, Food and Plastics. His work delivers sustainable business performance improvements in both shop floor and office environments.

Latterly, Stuart spent 5 years with the MAS North West as Lead Practitioner and has been working as an associate to MAS since January 2008.
